PASTORAL COUNSELING
Bringing together client centered psychotherapy and theological
education, the pastoral counselor helps at those times when life’s
challenges seem unmanageable; the counselor is an experienced
professional who will listen, accept, clarify and assist you in
meeting those challenges with warmth and wisdom.
Pastoral care embraces the mystery of the presence of the Divine in
human life, allowing the joy, fury, peace, tranquility or sorrow
contained in our experience of that Presence. Pastoral care creates
a space where the story of one’s life and faith can unfold.
Pastoral counseling honors all faith traditions and seeks to assist
others in accessing their own faith resources as they pursue healing
– physically, emotionally and spiritually.
