CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
The
craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal
fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It
extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth, along the spine
to the sacrum or tailbone area. Since this vital system influences
the development and performance of the brain and spinal cord an
imbalance or restriction in it can potentially cause any number of
sensory, motor or neurological disabilities. CranioSacral therapy
is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your
own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate these negative effects
of stress on your central nervous system.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
The lymph system is critical to our body’s ability to drain static
fluids, detoxify, regenerate tissue and maintain a healthy immune
system. Unlike the blood circulation, which has the heart pumping
its fluid, the lymph relies on hundreds of tiny muscle units to
propel lymph flow. In lymph drainage therapy, a very light touch is
applied along the routes of this system to circulate the lymph
fluid.
Lymph drainage therapy can be used to
maintain good health or to treat specific conditions blocking lymph
drainage at specific points of the body. Advanced lymph massage can
redirect drainage to reestablish flow where it has otherwise
stagnated. The most common use is post mastectomy or other breast
surgery.
